Ski resort
Le Grand Massif, with 265 km of slopes, is one of the top 10 largest ski areas in France. The slopes are located between 700 and 2500 meters altitude, many of which are above 1500 meters and are therefore guaranteed snow. The slopes are surrounded by beautiful landscapes and pine forests and offer great views of Mont Blanc.
Young, older, beginners or experienced skiers/boarders, they will all get their money's worth in this varied ski area. From wide carving slopes to mogul and off-piste options with a 2.5 km long deep snow route on which you conquer an altitude of 800 meters. The blue piste "Les Cascades" is an absolute highlight for beginners: it runs 14 km down from Flaine to Sixt Fer à Cheval and offers a beautiful view of Mont Blanc. With a bit of luck you may even see ice climbers demonstrating their skills in the icy waterfalls.
Samoëns has also thought of the little ones: there is a children's practice area with a carpet lift and, in addition to several ski schools, a ski nursery for children from 3 months to 6 years.
Ski lifts
The ski bus stop is directly in front of the apartment complex.
In 1 to 3 stops you will reach one of the three gondolas (Morillon, Vercland, Samoëns), all of which provide access to the 265 km ski area.
All three gondolas are also easily accessible by car and there is free parking everywhere in large parking lots.
· Morillon: 950 meters and 2 minutes by car
· Vercland: 1.8 km and 3 minutes by car
· Samoëns: 2.5 km and 3 car tokens drive
Apres ski
Samoëns is a picturesque village that is wonderful to stroll through after a day of skiing. It has several shops, restaurants and bars. In the high season there is a versatile activities program. However, you won't find a lively nightlife.
Activities
In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are many other activities in the Samoëns areaactivities entrepreneurship. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice climbing, dog sledding, paragliding, strolling through the picturesque village of Samoëns. This also makes it a nice, cozy destination for non-skiers!
